Confessions of a Shopaholic is the book by Sophie Kinsella that the latest movie is based on.
Originally called ‘The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic’, the book and movie centres around journalist Rebecca Bloomwood who uses retail therapy as the answer to all her problems.
What with the ‘credit crunch’, Confessions of a Shopaholic … is definately the perfect pick me up for when it’s all hanging in the (bank) balance.

Confessions of a Shopaholic Movie Review
In the glamorous world of New York City, Rebecca Bloomwood is a fun-loving girl who is really good at shopping….a little too good, perhaps.
She dreams of working for her favorite fashion magazine, but can’t quite get her foot in the door, until ironically, she snags a job as an advice columnist for a financial magazine published by the same company.
As her dreams are finally coming true, she goes to ever more hilarious and extreme efforts to keep her past from ruining her future.
Confessions of a Shopaholic, starring Isla Fisher, is out now at cinemas everywhere.
