Rio Ferdinand holidays at Haven Holidays Presthaven Sands Holiday Park

It’s probably not everyday you’ll see a £30m footballer at a holiday park in Wales, but that’s what holidaymakers in Prestatyn in Wales got to see.

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was having a short break with family at Haven Holiday’s Presthaven Sands holiday park and judging by the pictures had a whale of a time!

Rio happily signed autographs and posed for pictures with the other guests at Presthaven Sands.  Rio opted to stay in Haven’s top of the range caravan – the Prestige.

Haven Holidays apparently had no idea Rio was planning on visiting the holiday park in Prestatyn, for his £400 mini holiday.

“He really seemed to enjoy himself,” said a Haven Holidays spokeswoman.

“He was happy to sign autographs and have his picture taken as he mingled affably with other holidaymakers”.

“We were delighted that he and his family chose to come and enjoy themselves at Presthaven.

“Some of the other children that were holidaying at the park went absolutely wild when they saw Rio and he spent more than an hour mixing with the crowd.”

Rio enjoyed the top of the range Prestige caravan with his fiancee and his two sons, which are available at the park from just £400.
