This Friday sees Comic Relief 2009 and big hearted chef, Jamie Oliver has released a recipe to help raise funds for Comic Relief.

Priced at just £3, with £2.50 of that going to Comic Relief, Jamie’s Red Nose Recipes features some of Jamie’s best dishes such as fish bake, sausage carbonara, lemon drizzle cake and more.

Since the 80’s Comic Relief has raised over £600 million for very worthwhile causes. In 2008 alone, a record breaking £67million was raised.

Comic Relief 2009 – The Saturdays – Just Can’t Get Enough

Fab five piece girl band, The Saturdays, have lent their voices to 2009’s Comic Relief and have released one of the official singles – Just Can’t Get Enough.

The Saturdays are covering Depeche Mode’s ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ which was originally released in 1981.

The girls have already featured on The Alan Titchmarsh Show and GMTV to promote the single and will be performing the song on Comic Relief and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway the following night.

Comic Relief 2009 is on Friday 13th March and since it started has raised over £600 million, with over £67million raised in 2008.

Gavin and Stacey’s Nessa and Bryn join in the Comic Relief fun and have released one of the official singles – Islands In The Stream.

Originally recorded by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and written by the Bee Gees, Islands In The Stream has been voted the best country duet of all time.

The Comic Relief version features Nessa and Bryn, as well as Sir Tom Jones and Robin Gibb.

In 2008, Comic Relief raised a record breaking £67million and since beginning have raised over £600 million for worthwhile causes.
