The Nikon S1000pj digital projector camera was featured on BBC’s Something for the Weekend programme, and is the world’s first compact digital camera featuring a projector.

Nikon are already renowned for their quality cameras but the S1000pj takes the whole concept one step further, with the projector hybrid.

Gadget girl Ella Williamson showed us what the Nikon could do and is still a cracking spec spec, despite cramming in the projector.

The S1000pj features a huge 12 Megapixels with a 5x Nikkor zoom lens, as well as 2.7 lens on the back to view your piccies.  The Nikon’s  secret weapon is the inbuilt projector which can project quality images up to 100 cm in size (40 inches) and also comes with a remote so you can host your very own slideshow showing off your holiday snaps!

Using the pretty much standard SD cards, it’s perfect as an extra camera and certainly to impress your mates with….who else has a ‘World first digital projector camera’ eh?

The S1000pj really does break the mould and currently at just £333.50 at Amazon.co.uk, we can see this being popular and the one to set the standard.

The Terror Wasp remote controlled toy was featured on the gadget section of BBC2’s Something For The Weekend show and Tim Lovejoy loved it.

First up on the gadget section of this Sunday’s Something for the Weekend, was the MotorMouse.

This weekend’s Something for the Weekend on BBC2, featured a quirky little stacking chair game, aptly called the Chairs Game.

Made by a company called Fundex, Chairs Game is similar to Jenga but the difference here is that you have to stack your chairs, rather than pull them down – Jenga in reverse, I suppose!

The idea of the Chairs Game is to get rid all of your chairs and the loser is the one who causes the stack to topple over.

Hours of fun can be had with this and it’s apparently played in the Rimmer household, with the kids on the show loving it too.

Sadly, it was out of stock at the two places we found – Amazon and Firebox.  However, there were a number available on Ebay to bid and some with Buy it Now prices of just £8.49 – well worth it.

Billed as ‘Spanx for men, the Equmen Core Precision Undershirt was the last item to be featured on the gadget section of this weekend’s, Something for the Weekend.

Normally reserved for the ladies and usually to hold tummies and bums in, shapewear for men has finally arrived.

Made by an Australian company, the Equmen Core Precision Undershirt has only just arrived in the UK, after being successful in Australia and the US.  Selfridges are one of the first to stock the Equmen and a spokeswoman said “It’s a very tight-fitting T-shirt, so it’s not like we’re asking men to wear a bra. It’s quite inoffensive.

‘We’ve never stocked male control-wear before, so it will be a test. It may be that women will buy them for men, until men become more familiar with it.

‘Where women ask “Does my bum look big in this?”, men will wonder “Does my tum look big in this?”, and that’s wear the Equmen products come in.’

As well as the Equmen Undershirt, pants are apparently being developed too, so it may not be too long before those immortal words are muttered to blokes.

The ‘Beep Egg’ was recently featured on the BBC’s ‘Something For The Weekend’ show, featuring Tim Lovejoy, Simon Rimmer, Amanda Hamilton and resident gadget expert, Seema Parmar.
